This research was conducted in Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia. Data were collected through questionnaires and then analyzed by SEM-PLS. The results of the research are positive and significant influence between the variables. So it is evident that social capital and farming performance to mediate influence of social economic factors and social demographics to welfare of the paddy farmer in Sumbawa village..

Abstract: The study examined the relationship between finance and economic growth in Nigeria, and the direction of causality. The study made use of data spanning through 1980 – 2015 and various econometric analysis such as Augmented Dickey-Fuller (ADF) unit root test, Johansen Co-integration test, Error Correction Model (ECM) and the Granger causality test. Gross Domestic Product (GDP), proxied for economic growth, was included as the dependent variable, while finance, proxied by Credit to Private Sector (CPS), served as independent variable, with Lending Rate (LR) as a control variable. The results showed a positive, long-run and statistically significant relationship between finance and economic growth. The study also revealed a unidirectional causal relationship from finance to economic growth. It was therefore concluded that government and monetary authorities should develop...........

Abstract: Microfinance is defined as any activity that includes the provision of financial services such as credit, savings, and insurance to low income individuals which fall just above the nationally defined poverty line, and poor individuals which fall below that poverty line, with the goal of creating social value. The creation of social value includes poverty alleviation and the broader impact of improving livelihood opportunities through the provision of capital for micro enterprise, and insurance and savings for risk mitigation and consumption smoothing. This research paper seeks to identify the risks and challenges facing the microfinance industry as seen by practitioners, investors, regulators and observers of the microfinance industry and others. Microfinance has undergone plenty..........

Abstract: This paper examined the effect of inflation on economic growth in Nigeria utilizing annualized data covering the period 1986 – 2015, which were obtained from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Statistical Bulletin of various issues. This study employed ex-post research design because the variables were based on events that had already taken place, which the researcher could neither control nor manipulate. Some preliminary tests were performed to ensure data stationarity, and also ascertain how well the series were distributed. While Augmented Dickey-Fuller (ADF) was adopted for the former, descriptive statistics explained the latter. Ordinary Least Square (OLS) technique was used to estimate the variables. Real Gross Domestic Product (RGDP) formed the dependent variable, Inflation Rate (INFR), Interest Rate (Interest Rate) and Exchange Rate (EXCHR) made........

Abstract: Present paper aims at examining the relevance of Harrod-Domar model in Nepal through econometric techniques by using the data sets of saving, capital formation/capital output ratio and economic growth over the period 1974/75-2016/17. The variables, under study are found to be cointegrated, and there appears uni-directional causality running from saving to economic growth; and economic growth is found to be caused also by incremental capital output ratio as indicated by Granger causality test. The auto regressive distributed lag models report that economic growth of Nepal during the study period is affected positively by growth rate of saving; and incremental capital output ratio has the negative effect on economic growth, signifying the relevance of Harrod-Domar model........

Abstract: Research on thedeterminants of the term structure of interest rates continues to be an area of substantial interest from the public and private sectors largely due to the economic impact of the term structure on both local and global economies. The purpose of this study was to critically review the literature and empirical evidence available in an effort to establish the key variables that have the greatest effect on the term structure of interest rates. Traditional theories that laid the foundation of understanding the variables include the unbiased expectations hypothesis, which identified forward interest rates as the key variable; liquidity premium hypothesis that found investors will require a higher yield in order to hold longer term bonds due to their preference for liquidity; and......

Abstract: Migrants' dollars play fundamental roles in the recipient's economy, especially for the migrant's households who rely on them for mitigating incidences of poverty and improving their living standard. In this paper, efforts were made to examine the impacts of migrants' dollars on socio-economic indicators in Nigeria focusing on poverty level and per capita GDP. The Pesaran-Shin Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model was applied for analyzing the time series data extracted from the National Bureau of Statistics and World Bank Development Indicators over the period 1985-2016. The Kwiatkowski, Phillips, Schmidt and Shin (KPSS) unit root test results reveal that the series are mixed integrated with evidences of levels and first difference stationary. It was found from the bounds test results that the variables in each of the models are cointegrated. The ARDL estimates indicate that personal remittances........

Abstract: This study examines the effect of audit committee meeting and expertise on financial reporting quality of listed deposit money banks (DMB's) in Nigeria. The study uses panel data obtained from the Nigerian Stock Exchange fact books and the financial statements of fifteen (15) listed deposit money banks over a period of ten years (2007-2016). The study uses cross sectional and time series research design. The modified Jones (1991) model was adopted to measure financial reporting quality. The data was analyzed using STATA. The study reveals and concludes that the effect of audit committee meeting on the financial reporting quality of listed deposit money banks in Nigeria in model 1 is positive and insignificant while it is negative and insignificant in model 2. Also, the study reveals that the effect of audit committee expertise on the financial reporting quality of listed deposit money banks in.......

Abstract: Kenya's currency has devaluated against the US dollar and also to its major trading partners for the past years which has resulted to increased costs of importing major processed agricultural commodities and import duties. The objective of this paper is to find the impact Kenyan exchange rates on sugar imports from and to evaluate the nature of relationship between Kenyan exchange rates and sugar imports from COMESA. This paper used secondary data of thirty five years from the year 1976 to 2010.The Data was obtained from Kenya book of sugar statistics. Exchange rates are dependent variables and amounts of sugar imports as the independent variable. Testing units was done using Augmented Dickey Fuller (ADF) and Phillips-Perron (PP). Johansen test for co-integration was used to test for co-integrating relationship between the variables. Vector Autoregressive model and Vector Error correction models were used in this study with the application of econometric analysis on the models..........

Abstract: India witnessed the green revolution through the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides and hybrid seeds of different cereals, pulses etc. in order to have sufficient food for our ever-increasing population. We are number one in the world in milk production, which is achieved through importation of exotic animals, crossbreeding with indigenous cows and buffaloes. However, the crossbreeding programme seems to be not sustainable as there is increased susceptibility of animals for various kinds of infections. If we look for an overall picture of animal husbandry sector, we find that many indigenous things we lost to achieve white revolution. It could have been achieved even after......
